Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Aksara Notes ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Aksara Notes, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Aksara Notes for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your master password
All activities that occur under your account
The accuracy and legality of content you create in the App
Creating backups of important data (once backup feature is available)
Ensuring your device meets the minimum requirements to run the App

⚠️ Important Password Warning: If you forget your master password, there is NO way to recover it or your data. This is by design to ensure maximum security. You will need to reset the app, which will permanently delete all stored data.

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
Distribute, sublicense, or transfer the App to third parties
Use the App to store illegal content or content that violates others' rights

5. Data and Privacy

All data created in Aksara Notes is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your data, and we cannot recover it if lost. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Implied warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Damages arising from forgotten passwords or data loss
Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App

8. Data Loss

You acknowledge and agree that:

Data loss may occur due to forgotten passwords, device failure, or app uninstallation
We are not responsible for any data loss
It is your responsibility to maintain appropriate backups (once available)
We cannot recover lost or deleted data

9. Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue the App at any time
Update these Terms without prior notice
Add or remove features

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Minimum Requirements

Aksara Notes requires:

Android 12 (API level 31) or higher
Sufficient storage space for your data
Biometric hardware (optional, for biometric authentication)

11. Open Source Components

The App uses open source software libraries and components. Their respective licenses and terms apply to those components. See the "Open Source Licenses" section in the App for details.

12. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by either party. You may terminate by uninstalling the App. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
